ABOUT

DIY Design Eye is the creation of Tami Eilers, a sought after garden stylist, consultant, and Realtor.  After graduating from The George Washington University as a certified Landscape Specialist becoming certified as a Master Gardener and working as a Landscape Designer for 20+ years in Hampton Roads, Virginia Tami realized that her naturally gifted and trained eye was quick to spot the details and aura that discerning customers are seeking. She attributes her past position as a floral designer in Williamsburg, Va as the start of her path toward working with flowers, plants and nature. In May of 2014 she moved to Naples Florida where she has become a multi-million dollar Realtor.  This move transported her love for working with homes, homeowners and architecture to a different level. As a curb appeal specialist and a certified negotiator she enjoys helping homeowners achieve their dreams. Her passion is helping people find and create a sense of "Home".  Tami’s popularity is largely based on using her extensive horticultural knowledge and passion for making a house a home while using her clear communication and people skills. Using her “designer’s eye” as her clients refer to it, Tami loves to create a sense of place by creating a garden that stays true to the architectural style of the structure it surrounds. For many years she has taken projects from conception to beautiful living spaces that engage the senses. From large gated estates and upscale shopping centers, to small butterfly gardens and preparing homes for the market, Tami enjoys bringing a space into harmonic balance. She encourages us all to flex our green thumbs while she assists us in exploring our own creativity.

"Some artists prefer paint: Tami sculpts Lifestyles"

Now she is offering to share her "eye" with you. Whether it be in the form of teaching DIY students, locating the perfect home or consulting with your landscape contractor she is here to assist. DIY Design Eye is a place for new homeowners to stretch their wings on easy do-it-yourself projects as well as a place for seasoned gardeners to grow their design eye.
